February 23 some random thoughts在法国和在新加坡真的很不一样。虽然我也不太喜欢新加坡这个地方，很小，没有文化，没有风格，人们想的最多的事情就是怎么赚钱。可能没有精神食量的地方唯一的信仰就是钱吧。可是我发现，时间久了，还真的是有归属感的。在新加坡走在大街上从来没有觉得自己有任何的格格不入，但是走在巴黎的大街上我却能确确实实感觉到不同。“ 新加坡人很狭隘，巴黎人也很狭隘。” 朋友这么和我说过，其实哪里的人不是呢？ 在北京，在上海，农村人受歧视的程度恐怕比中国人在国外受歧视的程度要严重的多。其实这个和个人的素质是相连的吧。没有什么绝对的。我觉得到现在为止我觉得不管是新加坡人和法国人，做的都还可以。 今天上法语课的时候，老师问我们是哪国人的时候，一个香港人说她是香港人，她可是从来不和中国人说话的。倒不是我自己愤青，只是我真的很讨厌这种装屌的人。在这里发发牢骚。 我想，不管你去哪里，要真正的融入一个社会，那可不是一般人可以做到的。朋友说过，就算你英文说的再好，你一样听不懂美国人的笑话，因为你没有他们一样的文化背景。真的很对，所以，不管去了多少地方，我想我们都只是过客。 中国人有句老话，宁做鸡头，不做凤尾。人活着嘛，开心最重要。所以我情愿做鸡头。 一度我也整天想着要找好工作啊什么的，今年回家，看到日渐年老的老爸老妈，生病的外婆和堂妹，我突然之间明白了很多事情。有些东西其实真的没有那么重要的，只是自己一直把它看的太重要了。其实人活一辈子，心态做重要。老爸说，我太浮躁了，应该坐下来看看书喝喝茶。真的很有道理。法国还是个不错的选择。节奏和新加坡比不是一般的慢。 发现我一提笔就是流水账。 February 14 BlessingI have never felt so strongly about the language barrier... The lecturers and classmates juz mumbled on and on... while i was sitting aside totally lost....nevertheless, my skin is thick enough to crap a bit when necessary... haha... Guess sometimes i am a bit whiny, not gd, not gd... I got the email from my cousin today, she is going back to the hospital again... omg.... God Bless her!! And for ppl like us, there is no right for us to complain abt anything. Life has been too gd to us... Juz treasure watever we have now and live every moment to the fullest~~~ Joyeux Saint Valentine a tous!!! February 12 Life is not bad~~Life is Paris is starting to get better. Although i still dont understand the lectures and i still look pretty dumb in class, but who cares? "Thick Skin" is important everywhere... Now i only have 5 euros in my pocket because the stupid French bank takes two weeks to open an account. You need to "prend un rendez-vous" to open an account. More ridiculously, you need to "prend un rendez-vous" to collect ur bank card. The staff there smiled at me, saying" bienvenue en france.“ The school is v shabby, indeed v shabby... with the chalks and blackboard in the lecture theaters, i am v v concerned about my eyesight in 5 months. Haiz..but the atmosphere is not bad, u wouldnt fall asleep like in the dim LTs in NUS.. so this is kinda a gd thing. Paris has obviously a lot of things to see...hmm.. let me think.. i got one whole list of museums to visit alr... last fri, i went to Louvre.. it is absolutely amazing!!!! Guess i ll make several trips down there again since they have free admission on friday nite... There is graffiti everywhere in paris: in the streets, Metro stations, even schools... it is pretty enduring actually. Most of them are v artistic... I started to make friends here... it is so fun to meet ppl from all the different backgrounds.... I shld enjoy the life b4 i go back to face up to the reality in SG which is v depressing.... Have a nice day, my friends!! =p February 09 偷窥年代今天吴同学问我，有没有听说陈冠希的八卦？（貌似吴同学很跟的上潮流） 我最近很是落伍，95%的精力都在应付法国超级麻烦的administrative stuff和无敌低的效率, 心力交瘁。 上天涯搜了一下，消息不少。这个年头，啥事都有，娱乐愚乐。也就是茶余饭后笑一下。 February 07 New life @ Paris Hmm... this place has been deserted for really really long time... haiz.... Ok.. where shld i start with? Holiday inWuxi 2007/2008 winter: --My initial plan for the holiday is to do internship application + self study for CFA + preparation for SEP in Paris, yet the outcome is as disappointing as usual..... Haiz.. wat can i say.. life is too comfortable at home..... New Life in Paris: -- After one whole week of hassles, finally i have moved into my hostel and settled down. Here is my contact, dear friends: C242, Residence Lila, 6 Avenue Rene Fonck Paris, 75019 +33 642 748 375 My friends ask me whether i feel excited about coming to Paris, weirdly, i couldnt feel anything except for thinking of the annoying 15-hour long flight. To me, Paris is a nice place. It is different from the modern and super clean buildings in Singapore and the ppl here say "bonjour" to strangers... I have heard many negative feedbacks about it: the ppl here are narrow-minded and exclusive, the MRT here is crazy... Well, i guess all the best places only exist in our imagination. Paris, New York, London, Tokyo, HK...the important thing is whether we could find a sense of belonging... I guess not... afterall, we r juz visitors in those fabulous cities.... Hmm...i shld stop all these wild thinking. Time for exploration~~~ Anw, i ll update soon... |
